Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
Y’all. Whoever is creating the mascaras at Maybelline needs a raise. THEY’RE ALL SO GOOD. In the last few months, I’ve started loving Maybelline’s Lash Sensational Mascara.
It’s from the drugstore (duh), so the price is awesome, but that’s not why I love it so much. It adds so much length and volume to each and every lash! 
As you can see, the brush has tons of bristles at varying lengths, so each of your lashes gets coated with this amazing mascara. The tiny bristles are perfect for getting the product on your eyelashes, and the longer bristles help separate them and create the fan effect.
I chose the darkest formula, Blackest Black, and I love how rich the color is. I typically apply 2-3 coats, waiting for my mascara to dry between each coat.
According to Maybelline, the “Liquid Ink formula coats from all sides.” First of all, um, what? When is ink not liquid? Secondly, it actually does coat my lashes well! However, you definitely need to be careful to separate them out before the mascara dries so they aren’t clumpy. Unless that’s the look you’re going for, of course.
This mascara also doesn’t flake or smear at all throughout the day, which is so nice. That’s essential for mascara in Texas with our HOT summers looming!
As you can hopefully see, Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara is an awesome product because it makes a big impact on your eyes for a very small cost!

Beauty Blurbs: Maybelline ColorSensational Lipcolor in Warm Me Up
Hey party people! Y’all ready for fall? This warm, nude lipstick is perfect for this season, and honestly, year-round! I’ve reviewed Maybelline’s ColorSensational lipcolors before in Vivid Rose and Vibrant Mandarin, but those colors are just a tad bit bright for October. Since I love the formula of Maybelline ColorSensational lipsticks and they have such a great selection, I decided to look for a fall color within their collection.
I decided on Warm Me Up, and I couldn’t be happier. I would describe Warm Me up as “my lips but better.” It’s almost the same shade as my natural lips, but it has some pinky-brown undertones that give my lips a little extra oomph. To show you how natural looking it is, I only applied it to my top lip in the picture below.
The formula is relatively long-wearing and pretty moisturizing. I applied it yesterday, and it stayed on for four hours easily. Aside from it being a great product, the price is wallet-friendly, too! 
I think this color would look great on a variety of skin tones. Since it’s relatively neutral, you could pair it with dramatic eye looks or with a swipe of mascara on days you’re running out the door. 
This color is very similar to my holy grail lip product, Revlon’s Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey, so I think it will be a staple in my makeup routine for quite awhile!

Beauty Blurbs: Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids in Vibrant Mandarin
The temperature is climbing in Texas, so it’s already summer in my mind! That means it’s time to break out my shorts, sandals, and bright lip colors (…and you may want to break out your sunglasses because my legs are blindingly pasty)! This lipstick is the perfect summer color, and it’s cheap enough that you’ll have enough money left over for a snow cone. 🙂
Maybelline Color Sensational lipsticks have a huge range of color options, and my latest purchase is Vibrant Mandarin. This shade is from the Vivids collection, just like Vivid Rose, which I previously reviewed. Vibrant Mandarin, definitely lives up to its name.
It’s a bright coral-orange shade, but definitely not a true orange…er…mandarin. 😉 Vibrant Mandarin is very pigmented, and it has great color payoff. The formula is moisturizing and relatively long-wearing.
This lipstick would be perfect to pair with a simple everyday makeup look this summer. A little bronzer, a swipe of mascara, a coat of Vibrant Mandarin, and you’re ready to go!

Beauty Blurbs: Maybelline Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner
Hi y’all. You know Maybelline has been knockin’ it outta the park for me lately, so I picked up their Maybelline Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner in black awhile ago. I’ve never been the best with liquid eyeliner, so I was hoping in pen form I may have more control and not end up looking like Kesha. Each time I try the winged liner look, my lack of control means I just keep going and going and adding and adding until I’ve got this look going on.
If that’s your goal, more power to ya. It’s not mine. Anyway, the Maybelline Master Precise eyeliner has a super fine tip that allows for thinner and more accurate application.
The black is super rich, and it applies so easily. I have so much control that I think if I was artistic, I could recreate a miniature Mona Lisa on my eyelids. I mean that would be so weird, but you get it. Lots of control.
It glides on very smooth and doesn’t snag on my eyelid at all. The eyeliner stays on all day long regardless of the heat or humidity. I haven’t experienced any smearing or irritation each time I’ve used it. Also, apparently I refuse to properly shape or groom my eyebrows, so y’all can just deal with that in these close-up eyeball pictures. I’m very pleased that the eyeliner hasn’t started to dry out at all, as well. I was worried with the marker-like tip it would dry out quickly, but I haven’t had any issues.
I’m so happy I purchased Maybelline’s Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner, and I can’t wait to try a winged line soon! Maybe I’ll wait until Halloween though in case I do end up looking Kesha-like. Then I can just throw on a leotard and some body glitter, and I’ll be on my way!

Beauty Blurbs: Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids in Vivid Rose
I’ve been wanting a bright pink lipstick for spring lately, but I couldn’t seem to find one I liked. I was scared to break my love affair with Revlon Balms, but then I saw my fellow Aggie, Meg, post about some beautiful Maybelline colors. I realized I’d been breezing past every other brand straight to Revlon, and I needed to branch out!
The Maybelline lipsticks are organized by color type (Buffs, Vivids, Reds, etc.), which makes them super easy to shop. I went straight for the Vivids section and zeroed in on Vivid Rose, a bright, hot pink.
I was so happy to see that the color was just as rich on my lips as it was in the tube. I hate when a color looks vibrant, but once you put it on it’s sheer. This was TOTALLY not the case with Vivid Rose! It was super pigmented, bright, and completely coated my lips.
Vivid Rose also has a pretty shine to it, and I think it really complimented my fair skin. I have to say though, I’m pretty sure any skin tone could pull off this shade of pink. It has honey nectar in it too, which made it moisturizing. I loved that it didn’t dry out my lips at all.
The wear is pretty good. I don’t think it claims to be long-wearing, but it lasted several hours on me before it wore off. However, the first time I wore this, I met a friend for lunch at Chic-fil-a (aka Food Heaven). After I ate my Chicken Sandwich she informed me that I had pink lipstick smeared all over my chin. Any of my lipstick that got on the bread transferred back onto my chin, and I couldn’t get it off…so…that was cool. Meaning: it’s VERY long-wearing on the chin, and pretty long-wearing on the lips. You’ve been warned if you eat food with it on.
That being said, Vivid Rose is a beautiful color that is just as pretty on as it is in the tube. At around $7-8, the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids lipstick is a great purchase. I’m anxious to try some of the other shades soon! And…I must agree, the color IS Sensational. 😉
